Home>News & Insights>Insights>July 2026 | Top M&A DealsJuly 2026 | Top M&A Deals EMIS Insights Velizar Velikov 20.07.2026 1 min read Eastern Europe Global alternative asset manager Apollo has expanded its investment in the Trans-Anatolian Natural Gas Pipeline (TANAP) by acquiring a non-controlling indirect stake in SOCAR Türkiye’s subsidiary, which owns a 7% interest in the pipeline, in a transaction valued at USD 1bn (EUR 858mn). Azerbaijani oil and gas company SOCAR will retain control of the asset. The deal strengthens Apollo’s exposure to the Southern Gas Corridor, a key route transporting Azerbaijani gas to Europe. Latin America and the Caribbean Swiss energy trader Mercuria has agreed to acquire Raízen Argentina, the local subsidiary of Brazilian energy group Raízen, for USD 1.4bn. The transaction enables Raízen to strengthen its capital structure by using the net proceeds to reduce leverage and enhance financial flexibility. Raízen Argentina is one of country’s largest downstream energy businesses, operating across refining, fuel distribution, logistics and retail fuels. Emerging Asia Singapore-based DayOne Data Centers has secured an additional USD 2.5bn in its Series C funding round, led by Coatue Management and Hillhouse Investment Management, with participation from the Indonesia Investment Authority and Achi Capital Partners. The latest financing brings the total raised in the round to USD 4.5bn. The proceeds will support DayOne’s expansion across Asia-Pacific and Europe, funding new hyperscale data center developments and digital infrastructure to meet growing demand for cloud computing, AI, and enterprise connectivity.
