Eastern Europe

U.S. investment firm SSW Partners is acquiring Delivery Hero’s operations across Eastern Europe, with the portfolio valued at an estimated EUR 519.1mn. The assets include Glovo in Romania, Poland and Moldova, Foodora in Czechia, and Yemeksepeti in Türkiye. The carve-out forms part of SSW’s broader EUR  1.4bn acquisition of Delivery Hero businesses across 14 markets and is conditional on Uber’s planned takeover of Delivery Hero. The divestment is intended to address regulatory overlaps arising from the Uber transaction, with SSW expected to identify long-term strategic owners for the acquired businesses.

Latin America and the Caribbean

U.S. data and analytics company Equifax has agreed to acquire Mexican credit information provider Círculo de Crédito for USD 750mn. The acquisition will expand Equifax’s presence in Mexico’s fast-growing credit information market and strengthen its data and analytics capabilities. The transaction represents Equifax’s 17th bolt-on acquisition in six years.

Emerging Asia

China’s Orient Securities agreed to acquire 100% of Shanghai Securities for CNY 25.12bn (USD 3.7bn) in cash and stock from a group of shareholders including Bailian Group and Guotai Haitong Securities. The sellers will receive around 21.2% of Orient Securities’ enlarged share capital. The transaction will consolidate two major Shanghai-based securities firms, strengthening Orient Securities’ capital base, scale and customer reach, while expanding its capabilities across wealth management, investment banking, institutional services and securities trading.
