They are pointing to simultaneous and sustained price increases as the US-Iran war persists and global energy disruptions continue. As recently as mid-February, inflation had seemed tamed, with France and Germany below the European Central Bank’s target. Official #CPI releases for all three countries are not scheduled until mid-September, giving CEIC users an early edge. These nowcasts blend signals from daily, weekly and monthly data and apply our proprietary machine-learning model – dynamically adjusting themselves to focus on the most important, high-frequency early inflation indicators at a given moment.
